The Network Technical Operations Team Leader role is split into 30% man management & 70% technical hands on Network operations. You will provide day-to-day management for your team of operators including performance management & development in addition to undertaking some operations duties and a providing BAU service. You will provide support for all IT operations projects involving the installation of new Network based services from project to BAU. You will work closely with colleagues to develop a strategy for the shift management team, manage & apply business & technical considerations when critical situations dictate. You will co-ordinate all required support resources to ensure these situations are dealt with promptly. You will liaise with IT management teams to make them aware of business impacts & provide full management of systems, applications, services & staff. Where systems/services/applications fail, make financial decisions based upon these criteria. You will have developed your operations career through production systems to team leader level. During your career you will have gained technical Network operations expertise in a high availability, mission critical environment. You will have an extensive Network operations background and any of the following knowledge would be of interest; CISCO, TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, SSL, MPLS or ETHERNET. You will also have gained good incident diagnosis & resolution skills.

This position is shift based and 24x7x365 with a generous shift allowance.
